GemAtlas- the online Gems and Jewellery destination recently hosted an event led discussion at Bharat Diamond Bourse, Bandra Kurla Complex, Mumbai. The meeting centred around the theme “New Technology Led Opportunities to Increase your business” which emphasised on technology as a key tool to escalate business prospects, within the Gems and Jewellery Industry.
The discussion was led eminent industry professional Mr.Hemant Shah, Independent consultant to GemAtlas, who spoke about the changing trends within the Gems and Jewellery Industry. Talking about the significance of development within businesses, Mr. Hemant Shah quoted “We are adapting to change in all spheres of our life, why not bring change into the way we do business? The business needs to keep pace with changes in technology as well as changes in desires and expectations of consumers.”
He dwelled on the importance of a platform such as GemAtlas, which throwing light its importance, Mr Shah believes that GemAtlas will bring value to everyone from miners to retailers, covering all necessary branches. The conversation was opened by a welcome speech from Mr. Praveen Shanker Pandya, Chairman, GJEPC followed by a question answer round among professionals & students from the Gem and Jewellery industry. The seminar provided a vision for the future of the Gem and Jewellery Industry as a whole, emphasising on the potential of e-commerce and online transacting, which would aid improvements in business prospects within the industry.
Mr. Deepak Tulsian, Head- Jewellery, eBay India, also conducted an informative session on 'Retail export opportunities with eBay for the Gems and Jewellery industry'.
